The 1L Starter Culture ($149–$506) is live culture only, in volume variants, for growers who already have their own nutrient system or prefer to formulate their own.
This bundle sits between the two: one litre of live culture plus a full kilogram of matched starter nutrients. If you already have equipment and just need the biological inputs to start or scale up, this is the most direct path.
What to Expect
Spirulina is a nutrient-dense cyanobacterium that has been cultivated and consumed for decades. Fresh harvest contains protein, B vitamins including B12 (in analogue form), beta-carotene, iron and phycocyanin.

How long will the nutrients last? They will get you up to a working volume of 50L. Starting with 1L in sunny warm weather, a volume of 50L takes about 4 – 5 weeks
Do I need any extra equipment? Yes. This bundle contains biological inputs only — culture and nutrients. You will need a grow container, air-pump, air tubes and some harvest mesh. If you are starting from scratch, our 500ml Self-Sufficiency Kit is the better entry point.
Can I split the 1L culture across mu-tiple containers? Absolutely. In fact, we strongly recommend building up your culture volume in multiple containers. Many growers inoculate a main vessel with 500ml that they use to build up a working volume and use the remaining 500ml as a backup culture or to start a second grow.
Is the culture safe to travel in the mail? Yes. We ship cultures all over Australia using express shipping. We hardly ever have had problems. If your culture arrives compromised, we replace it free of charge.
